The late and great country and western singer, Slim Dusty, was a strong supporter of Noweyung Ltd over the years. For his tireless charity work he was elevated to a Life Member of Noweyung in 1993.

In 2004, the supported accommodation residence was named in Slim's honour. The supported accommodation service provides 24 hour services to the residents, seven days per week.

This service aims to support residents to live as independently as possible within the community. Residents are assisted with self care, skills for independent living and community integration.
