The Now Projects group have just finished the last table, in their job to replace all the café table tops .
The old table tops have been replaced with rustic style table tops made from recycled timber pallets. The group pull apart the pallets, and dress the timber by putting it through the Thickenesser to get it to the correct size. The tops are glued and screwed together and then sanded. After sanding, the table tops are coloured with Coffee Grounds to bring out the natural grains, and then finally lacquered to a high gloss finish.
The group have learnt lots of great woodwork skills in this project, and have all been involved in every step of the process. Well done to Peter, Blair, Glenn, Daniel, Sam and Josh.
Please drop into the Noweyung Café to check out their handiwork. While you are there why not have a coffee and lunch or a snack. For the latest updates about the Noweyung café, see our Facebook page @noweyungcafe or check out https://noweyung.org.au/noweyung-cafe-fine-foods
